FREE Smoky Mountain Parks that Kids will Love

Discover Free Things to Do in the Smoky Mountains when you visit some of the beautiful cty parks.  Of course you can have fun on a budget.  These parks offer free and inexpensive areas for family to spend time and make great memories.

FREE Area Parks are a great way to provide excellent family entertainment in the Smoky Mountains at no additional cost! Consider packing a picnic. Many area restaurants provide picnic style to go orders, however, there is nothing better than homemade. Consider a picnic in the park in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville.

Mills Park, located just off highway 321 (stoplight #3) and below the Community
Center, is a lovely area and famed locally for the high school games they hold
throughout the year! The park features a pavilion, a couple play areas,
basketball court, soccer field, track field and within walking distance to the
Gatlinburg Community Center. The pavilion can be reserved by calling the
Gatlinburg Community Center.

Mynatt Park, located in Gatlinburg, is another beautiful, expansive park with all
the amenities. This park features: A large pavilion, large picnic area, tennis and
basketball courts, baseball field, 2 separate play areas, and free fishing for
kids under 12! Pavilion can be reserved by calling the Gatlinburg Community Center.

Patriot Park, next to the Historic Old Mill, is a great example of “Less is more!”
The park is a big, wide open space featuring a walk trail, flags of all 50 states,
a historic missile, pavilion and gazebo, and The Winterfest Lights! Also, the Old Mill
complex features a bakery, candy store, toy store, pottery store, several craft stores,
a creamy, the Old Mill and the Old Mill Restaurant.

Pigeon Forge City Park is located by the Pigeon Forge Community Center and behind the
Kroger store. The park is next to a river, and is in the area of the Community Center and library.
The park features two swimming pools (at the Community Center), a playground, tennis court,
pavilion and picnic tables. Pavilions can also be reserved. To reserve, call the Pigeon
Forge Community Center.

Sevierville Park, located on Park Road, is a beautiful park with all the amenities,
such as a seasonal swimming pool, walk trail around the park, a woods area and river,
basketball, soccer, baseball, tennis areas, and a large wooden play area called Mount Ton of Fun!
Picnic tables and pavilion reservations are also available, to reserve a pavilion, please
call the Sevierville Community Center.
